We have executed various successful consignments to China and India. Our initial transactions were concentrated in manganese ore and chrome products.
Manganese Ore:
Mn, Chemical Element and atomic number 25, found next to Iron (Fe) and Chromium (Cr) on the periodic table. A naturally occurring mineral in combination with oxides and Iron minerals. Manganese is used primarily in the production of steel, 90-95% of all Mn mined. It is a critical element to the steel making process and the usage is approximately 10kg of Mn per 1000kg of Steel produced. South Africa holds 80-85% of the worlds known Mn ore reserves and produces approximately 50% of all the Mn mined for steel production.
Agrisa Commodities exports and trades Mn ore of various grades for use in the alloy and steel making processes.
Chrome Ore/Concentrate:
Cr (Chromium), Chemical Elements and atomic number 24, found next to Manganese (Mn) on the periodic table. Naturally occurring as the mineral Chromite (Cr2O3) in combination with other oxides and Iron minerals. Cr Ore is used primarily for the production of Stainless Steel. Its properties in the alloy process with iron and nickel produce a corrosion resistent metal capable of withstanding difficult and extreme chemical and temperature environments. South Africa holds 75-85% of the worlds known Cr ore reserves and produces approximately 40% of the all the Cr mined for stainless steel production.
Agrisa Commodities exports and trades Cr ore as Run of Mine (ROM), Lumpy and Concentrate of various grades for the use in the alloy and Stainless Steel making processes.
We are currently investigating international opportunities (complete transaction from procurement to delivery) in related and other minerals trads.
